Hail & Hog Kitchen and Tap Files for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy

by San Antonio Attorney

Hail & Hog Kitchen and Tap, an upscale NFL’s Washington Redskins themed restaurant, has sought for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.

Hail & Hog is located in Ashburn, Virginia, where the training camp of the professional football team is situated.  The eatery’s name is an affirmation to the Redskins’ song, which is entitled “Hail to the Redskins”, and its leading offensive cheer, which is “the Hogs”, throughout Coach Joe Gibbs’s initial term with the squad during the 1980s until early 1990s.

Hail & Hog is famous for its items like Red Flag Edamame, Hail Mary cocktail and Hog Chili.  On the restaurant’s website, pictures of it show that its outside features the team colors of Redskins.

Hail & Hog opened its door in 2016.  It is owned by G.R.E.A.T.  Grille Group, a Houston-based company which also owns several other sports-themed restaurants.  Hail & Hog is the only business under the owner that filed for bankruptcy, according to the restaurant’s attorney.

The main cause of the financial problem is the cost of the development for the restaurant and money owed to the contractor, according to Hail & Hog’s attorney, Roy Terry.  Although the parties involved have been discussing, arriving at an agreement would take time, the lawyer said

The restaurant intends to continue serving customers and use the reorganization process under Chapter 11, the attorney said.

Terry said the restaurant listed debts and assets between $1 million and $10 million.

It has been almost eight months since the restaurant opened.   It is a 12,000-sq.  ft., two-story eatery with a roof deck.  It includes a television and radio studio for Redskins broadcasts.

When considering filing for bankruptcy, you need to find out first whether you are qualified or not.  TO be sure, consider hiring a Bankruptcy Attorney San Antonio.
