“Real Housewives of Atlanta” Star Kim Fields Faces Foreclosure on Her Georgia Mansion

by San Antonio Attorney

Kim Fields recently joined the reality show, “Real Housewives of Atlanta” Season 8, but things have not gone smoothly for Fields as she is about to lose her home due to unpaid debts.

According to reports, legal documents show that the 46-year-old former actress failed to pay the mortgage for their three-bedroom mansion located in Powder Springs, Georgia last 2009.

The house has been foreclosed by the bank and put into auction last April.  The highest bidder offered to purchase it for an amount of $89,941.96.

Fields allegedly has an estimated debt of more than $212,000 in federal taxes.  Fields has skipped payments for almost three consecutive years from 2011-2013.  The amounts listed were $33, 28.98, $42,318.40 and $136,873.64 respectively, according to a federal tax lien.

Fields is reportedly wrapping up production for her scenes in the reality show, “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” which she started to appear last month.

Prior to Field’s debut as a “Real Housewife,” she previously told E! Online that she is very protective of her family, particularly in her marriage and parenting skills.

Fields was popular in the 1980”s for her role as Tootie Ramsey in the “Facts of Life” series.  Fields also starred in “Living Series” in the 90s.

After a long hiatus from acting, Fields ventured into directing TV shows such as “House of Paynes” and “Meet the Browns.”

Fields made a comeback when she starred in TV movies such as “A Cross To Bear” and “For Better or Worse.”

Fields is married to Christopher Morgan, a Broadway actor, with whom she has two children.
